To Save, Reuse, and Retrieve a Welding Preference
To Save a Welding Preference
After you have set up a welding preference, save it for reuse as follows:
1. Click Applications > Welding. The Welding tab opens.
2. Click Preferences. The Weld Preferences dialog box opens.
3. Set preferences for fillet, groove (ANSI only), butt (ISO only), plug, slot, spot, or general welds.
4. Click Save. The Export File dialog box opens.
5. Type a name for the preference in the File Name box.
6. Click Export.
 
* You can configure the following options to set the location and name of the weld preferences for each weld type:
Weld Type
Configuration File
Fillet
weld_fillet_preferences_file
Groove or Butt
weld_groove_preferences_file
Plug or Slot
weld_plug_slot_preferences_file

weld_spot_preferences_file

To Retrieve a Welding Preference
To retrieve a saved welding preference, perform the following procedure:
1. Click Applications > Welding. The Welding tab opens.
2. Click Preferences. The Weld Preferences dialog box opens.
3. Click Open. The Import File dialog box opens.
4. Select a file from the list and click Import.
