Specifying Inlet Boundary Conditions
1. Under Boundary Conditions, General Boundaries select BC_1.
2. In the Model tab select the following values for the options listed:
FlowSpecified Pressure Inlet
Pressure—101325 Pa
3. In the Model tab for Streamline set Release Particle to Yes
Specifying Outlet Boundary Conditions
1. Under Boundary Conditions select BC_2.
2. In the Model tab select the following values for the options listed:
FlowSpecified Volumetric Flux
Flow DirectionOutflow
Value—0.001 m3/s
3. To add the heat source, under Domains, do the following:
a. Select TRANSFORMER. In the Model tab, for Heat select the following values:
a. Create a New SourceTotal Heat Source
b. Value—3 W
b. Select CHIP_THERMAL. In the Model tab, for Heat select the following values:
a. Create a New SourceTotal Heat Source
b. Value—2 W
c. Select TRANSISTOR1, TRANSISTOR2, TRANSISTOR3, and TRANSISTOR4. In the Model tab, for Heat select the following values :
Create a New SourceTotal Heat Source
Value—1 W
Specifying Volume Conditions
To set the fluid, click Materials. The Material Selection dialog box opens. The fluid properties are set automatically when you select a new fluid.
