Freestyle > Adding Detail to the Control Mesh > Deleting Mesh Elements > To Delete Mesh Elements

To Delete Mesh Elements
1. Create or import a shape.
2. Select single, multiple, or loop of faces, edges, or vertices.

If you want to delete edges without deleting the doublet vertices or doublets, click Operations > Options and clear the Auto delete doublets check box.
When you delete a single-sided edge, its vertices are merged to the center of that edge.
You can only delete those vertices that share two edges. In other words, you can delete only doublet vertices.
3. Press DELETE. Alternatively, right-click and select Delete. The selected mesh elements are deleted.
To delete a shape, select a shape on the Freestyle Tree or in the Graphics window, and press DELETE. Alternatively, you can drag and select all the mesh elements of a shape, and press DELETE.
