Selecting Load Sets and Modes for Optimization Studies
Depending on the analysis type you select for an optimization study goal or limit, you may have the option of selecting specific load sets or modes. Use following items on the Optimization Study Definition dialog box to select the load sets or modes.
Loadset—For static, prestress static, or steady-state thermal analyses, the Loadset list on the Optimization Study Definition dialog box displays the names of the load sets you included in the analysis. By default Creo Simulate selects the first load set in the list. You can select any other load set. You cannot select more than one load set.
If you select an analysis in which the Sum Load Sets check box is selected, you cannot select any load set to include in the analysis. A combined load of all the loads in all the load sets is used during the analysis.
Mode—For modal and prestress modal analyses, select a mode number. If you specified more than one mode in the analysis, you can select a mode number.Creo Simulate reports the frequency for each mode by number in the summary file after you run a standard design study. You can use the summary from a previously run standard study to choose a mode number. Use the Info > Status on the Analyses and Design Studies dialog box to access the summary file.
