About Material Orientation
Click Home > Material Orientations to specify the material orientation for parts and shells.
Creo Simulate uses orientation properties to determine the material directions of orthotropic or transversely isotropic material properties that you assign to these entities. You can also view certain results, such as stress, displacement, flux, and others, relative to the material orientation of the elements associated with these entities.
If you are working with a single part, Creo Simulate defines the material orientation for that part. If your model is an assembly, you can define material orientation for each part in the assembly.
You can define a material orientation for the following types of entities in FEM and Native modes:
