To Create a Thermal Resistance Interface
This procedure assumes you are working in the Thermal mode.
1. Click Refine Model > Interface. The Interface Definition dialog box appears.
2. Type a name for the interface or accept the default name.
3. Select Thermal Resistance in the Type box.
 
* You can select Thermal Resistance in the Type box only if you are working in Thermal mode.
4. Select one of the following types of references:
Surface-Surface
Component-Component
5. Select two valid geometric references in the model.
 
* For 2D models, select an edge in the model. You cannot select a curve.
6. In the Properties section, specify the Heat Transfer Coefficient. The default value is 0. Give any non-negative value other than 0.
7. Click OK. An interface icon is added to your model.
