About Miscellaneous Options
These options are not a part of any other larger category.
regen_failure_handling
Specifies whether to enter Creo Simulate in resolve mode when regeneration failure occurs. When set to the default value of no_resolve_mode, the model opens and you can define and modify the simulation model, run analyses, and view the results. When set to resolve_mode, Creo Simulate enters the Resolve environment. The Failure Diagnostics window provides information about the features that have failed and the reasons for their failure.

sim_auto_regen_enabled
Determines whether your model is regenerated when you initiate a session. If you set this option to yes and if the model has changed and requires regeneration, the model is regenerated automatically each time you reenter the Creo Simulate environment. If you set this option to no, you are asked for confirmation before regeneration of the model.

no
sim_mat_poissons_notation
Specifies the convention used for defining Poisson's ratio for anisotropic materials as being either Tsai (column-normalized) or Jones (row-normalized). This option affects only the labels for Poisson's ratio on the Material Definition dialog box. The value types are as follows:
tsai*
jones
sim_max_contact_iterations
Specifies the maximum number of iterations for contact analysis. For contact analysis, Creo Simulate calculates results in several iterative steps. The minimum number of iterations is 1 and the maximum number of iterations is 200 by default. The iterations stop when the analysis reaches the convergence or maximum number of iterations are complete.
simulation_process_auto_advance
Specifies the way to navigate in the Process Guide dialog box. no is the default option that allows you to navigate through all the tasks defined in the Process Guide dialog box by selecting the navigation buttons. When you set this option to yes, Process Guide automatically advances to the next task when the current task is complete.

yes
simulation_process_prompt
Determines the availability of process template files used for Process Guide. no is the default option that allows you to enter Creo Simulate in the standard modeling mode from which you can activate Process Guide. When you set this option to yes, the software directly opens as a Process Guide session whenever you enter Creo Simulate.

yes
simulation_process_template_dir
Specifies the default path of the directory that contains process templates files. Enter the absolute path.
sim_wf5_fastener_fix_separation
Controls the setting of the Fix Separation check box for conversion of fasteners that were created with the Fix Separation option set to Automatic in releases prior to Creo 1. If this configuration option is set to yes, the new converted fasteners have the Fix Separation check box selected. If set to no the Fix Separation check box is cleared. In the default case, fastener conversion is automatic.

sim_wf5_fastener_frictionless
Controls the setting of the Frictionless Interface check box for conversion of fasteners from releases prior to Creo 1. If set to yes, the Frictionless Interface check box is selected in the converted fastener. If set to no, the Frictionless Interface check box is cleared. In the default case, fastener conversion is automatic.
