Tip: Mirroring or Moving Flat and Flange Walls
When you mirror or move individual flat and flange walls or a group with a flat or flange wall attached to a feature that is not part of the group, keep in mind the following points:
The attachment edges of the original flat or flange wall and of the target mirrored or moved wall must each lie on a single linear edge.
The edge of the original flat or flange wall and the target attachment edge for the mirrored flat or flange wall must be equidistant about the mirror plane. The edges of the original and mirrored walls can be of different lengths.
A Move or Mirror operation fails when there is no valid target edge.
The trim and extend dimensions for a dependent mirrored or moved flange wall are read-only. To edit one or more dimensions you must make them independent. Select the dependent flange wall from the Model Tree or the graphics window and then right-click and choose from the shortcut menu. Select the dimension to modify and right-click and choose Make Chain End Independent. Click Yes in the Confirmation dialog box.
As a best practice for a flat or flange wall with additional features such as rounds or cuts, first mirror the wall and then add the features.
