Pressure Result
Pressure result shows the pressure distribution of the plastic at the end of filling. You can use the pressure result to identify the following injection molding issues:
• Short shot—You should analyze the pressure transmission conditions. The cavity thickness limits the transmission of injection pressure to the cavity. As injection pressure drives the plastic melt, a decrease in the cavity thickness may cause short shot.
• Overpacking—You can predict overpacking more precisely by analyzing both the melt front time and the pressure results. Overpacking is mainly caused by unbalanced flow, which can be observed from the Melt Front Time result. If the flow is unbalanced, check if the pressure is high in the flow path that is filled early to determine overpacking.
You can modify the design or the analysis settings to fix the molding issues.
