To Define Varied References in an Inherited Reference Part
1. In the Model Tree, click the inheritance feature and select
Edit Definition from the mini toolbar. The
Merge/Inheritance tab opens.
2. Click Options > Varied Items. The Varied Items dialog box opens and the reference part opens in a separate window.
3. Click References and select the reference within the inheritance feature that you want to replace.
4. Select the new reference from inside or outside the inheritance feature to replace the reference you have selected. The Define Sub-Features dialog box opens.
5. Select sub-features within the inheritance feature that need to have their references replaced.
6. Click OK. The original references that you have selected are replaced with the new ones.
