To Create a Six Cavity Layout
1. Create a new mold layout assembly.
2. On the
Mold Layout tab, click
Locate Cavity. The
Layout dialog box opens.
3. Under
Mold/Cast Model, click
to create a new mold or cast model, or click
to browse to an existing mold or cast model.
4. Under
Mold/Cast Model Origin, click
and select a coordinate system for the model origin.
5. Under
Cavity Layout Origin, click
and select a coordinate system for the layout origin.
6. Under Layout, click Circular.
7. Under Radial set the following options:
◦ For Cavities, type 6.
◦ For Radius, type 6
◦ For Start Angle, type 0.
◦ For Increment, type 60.
8. Click Preview to check the values. Make any adjustments.
9. Click OK.
You can also use the MOLD LAYOUT menu to add a mold base, injection mold machine, waterlines, runners, and ejector pins to the top-level assembly.
