Configuration Options for Manikin
file_dialog_units_class
mks*, ips
Sets the units of measure for the manikin attributes displayed in the Open dialog box.
mks—Sets the units to centimeters.
ips—Sets the units to inches.
manikin_drag_auto_locks
yes*, no
Automatically applies a natural and realistic behavior to the manikin as you drag it. The behavior is determined by a series of constraints that are applied to specific areas such as the spine or the hip. Although the hip is locked, it automatically unlocks when selected, and will lock itself once again if you try to move another segment.
manikin_drag_legacy_rotate
no*, yes
Controls the rotation behavior when Rotate around axis is selected on the Drag tab of the Manikin Motion dialog box.
no*—Forward kinematics drag mode. Moves each segment of a linked structure by rotating around each joint’s motion axis individually.
yes—Legacy behavior.
manikin_flexibility
full*, none, default
Sets the level of manikin flexibility during a drag operation.
full—All manikin segments are individually articulated.
none—A manikin is handled as a single body.
default—Locks the manikin's finger segments and handles them as a single body.
manikin_replace_keep_posture
yes*, no
Controls whether a manikin’s existing posture is applied to a replacement manikin.
ptc_manikin_comforts_path
<full directory path>
Sets the default directory for the Creo Manikin comfort angles. The change takes effect when you restart Creo.
ptc_manikin_library_path
<full directory path>
Sets the default directory for the Creo Manikin libraries or for your custom posture libraries. Custom libraries must contain the correct index menu files.
 
* Make sure that the name of the last directory in the ptc_manikin_library_path is ptc_manikin_lib, otherwise automatic retrieval will fail.
ptc_manikin_posture_path
<full directory path>
Sets the default directory for the Creo Manikin postures or for custom posture libraries.
skip_small_surface
yes*, no
Sets the display of small shaded surfaces.
yes—Does not display small surfaces, increasing the speed of display.
no—Displays small surfaces, decreasing the speed of display but increasing its quality.
