To Create Nets
1. Click Analysis > Electrical Clearance. The Clearance and Creepage dialog box opens.
2. Click Setup > Nets. The Nets dialog box opens. A list of all nets defined in the clearance and creepage file is displayed. The name of the net has one of the following keywords appended to it:
Empty—The net does not have any components or quilts in it.
Changed—The status of the net has changed.
Invalid—The name of the net is not in the clearance and creepage file.
The net is valid, if no keyword is appended to the name of the net.
A net becomes invalid if you remove the name of the net from the clearance and creepage file. You can remove the invalid net from the lists of nets in the Nets dialog box or you can merge the invalid net into a valid net.
3. Select an empty net.
4. Add conductive components and quilts to the net in one of the following ways:
Add individual components or quilts
Add sets of components and quilts
The status of the selected net changes from Empty to Changed.
5. Click Apply to create the net. If the net is valid, no keyword is appended to it.
6. Select another empty net and repeat steps 4 and 5.
7. After you have added components to all the empty nets in the list, click OK in the Nets dialog box to accept the status of all the nets in the list.
