To Create a Local Milling NC Sequence by Referencing a Previous NC Sequence
1. Ensure that the active operation references a Mill or Mill/Turn workcell.
2. Click Mill > Milling > Local Milling > Previous Step. The SELECT FEAT menu appears.
3. Click NC Sequence to select a reference sequence that requires removal of left over material. You can select a Volume, Profile, or another Local Mill NC sequence from the NC SEQ LIST menu that appears.
4. The NC SEQUENCE menu appears with the required commands checked. The following local milling specific command is available on the SEQ SETUP menu in addition to the common commands for all NC sequence types:
Build Cut—Access the Build Cut functionality.
The required options are checked off automatically. Select additional options, if desired, and click Done. The system will start the user interface for all selected options in turn.
5. Select an Automatic Cut motion to be used. Only one cut motion can be selected.
6. On the NC SEQUENCE menu, click Play Path to verify the tool path automatically generated by the system. If not satisfied, you can either modify the parameters, or use the Customize functionality to adjust the tool path.
7. Click Done Seq or Next Seq when satisfied.
