The Axis Control Tab (Cutline Milling)
When creating or editing a 4 or 5–axis Cutline milling sequence, you can control the orientation of the tool using options on the Axis Control tab.
1. When creating or editing a 4 or 5-axis cutline milling sequence, click Axis Control on the Cut Line Milling tab.
2. The following axis control options are available for cutlines:
Normal to a Surface—This is the default option and the cutter is always normal to the reference surface.
Pivot about a Point/Axis—Select either a pivot point or a pivot axis that the tool passes through while machining the surfaces.
At a Location—Select a series of locations on the model to associate the tool axis definitions with these locations.
Pivot about a Curve—Select a pivot curve that the tool passes through while machining the surfaces.
