About Process Templates
A process template allows you to create an Creo NC process for a design model based on an existing Creo NC process. A process template includes all information about an Creo NC process, such as:
Resources, that is, workcells, tools, and fixtures.
Ordered operations.
Ordered steps and their reference information such as manufacturing templates and manufacturing criteria.
Retract plane for a step or an operation, as a distance calculated from the step coordinate system.
You can create a process template from an existing and valid Creo NC process. You can then use this process template in a new design model to create the required resources and operations, reorder the extracted steps, and assign them to the appropriate operations.
A typical sequence of actions while using a process template is illustrated in the following figure:
