About Tags
Tags provide a labeling system for grouping entities according to your needs and for locating them quickly. You can also create specialized property tags that group entities according to various criteria, such as shape, size, and color. No hierarchy exists among tags. An entity may have multiple tags. Use the shortcut menu in the Model Tree and graphics window to perform standard operations on tags.
Keep in mind that the following system-generated tags appear in the Model Tree of a layout and cannot be renamed:
• Aggregate Tags—A list of all the tags in the Model Tree, including all sublayouts.
• Property Tags—A list of tags, defined by formatting. Entities that are tagged with a property tag, are tagged according to their properties and formatting.
• PUBLIC—A single tag. Public entities are viewable when you insert a Layout feature to a model.
