To Create a Cross Section using View Manager
1. On the View tab, click the arrow next to Manage Views and then click View Manager. The View Manager dialog box opens.
2. Click Sections.
3. Click New. A list appears. Click one of the following options.
Planar — Creates a planar cross section using a datum plane or planar surface as the reference.
X Direction — Creates a planar cross section with X axis of the default coordinate system as the reference.
Y Direction — Creates a planar cross section with Y axis of the default coordinate system as the reference.
Z Direction — Creates a planar cross section with Z axis of the default coordinate system as the reference.
Offset — Creates an offset cross section with a sketch as the reference.
Zone — Creates a zone.
A default name for the cross section appears.
4. Press ENTER. Based on your selection in the previous step the Sections tab or Zone dialog box opens.
5. Use the Section tab or Zone dialog box to create a cross section or zone respectively. For more details refer to related links.
6. In the View Manager, click Sections > Options > Show Section to view the cross section.
