To Highlight Items by Type and Attributes
1. Open a drawing.
2. Click Review > Highlight by Attributes. The Highlight by Attributes dialog box opens.
3. Under Item type, select the types of items that you want to highlight on the current sheet.
4. Under Owner model perform the following operations::
Select The drawing to highlight items that were created in the drawing but not in the associated model or models.
Select A 3D model to highlight items that were created in the current model, and shown in the drawing. In a multimodel drawing, only items created for the current model are highlighted.
Both options are selected by default.
5. Under On layer, select one of the following options:
Any or none—Highlights the specified items, whether or not they exist on a layer.
At least one—Highlights only specified items that exist on at least one layer. Items that are not on any layer are not highlighted.
Selected and Layers—Highlights only specified items that are on the layers you specify.
6. Under Dimension type, select the attributes of the type of dimensions you want to highlight.
Owned by a model—Highlights dimensions that were created and reside in the associated model or models, such as, assembly and feature dimensions. In multi-model drawings, all dimensions that reside in all associated models are highlighted.
Created, associative—Highlights dimensions that were created in the drawing and are associative; that is, they update when the referenced entity is regenerated (resized).
 
* If you have set the Detail option associative_dimensioning to no, this option is disabled.
Created, non-associative—Highlights dimensions that were created in the drawing, but are non-associative; that is, they do not update when the referenced entity is regenerated.
7. Under Displayed in view, select Any to display all items of the specified type in any and all views. Select Selected or click Views to select a view in which to display the items.
8. Click Highlight to highlight the specified items. The items are highlighted in magenta. Click Close to close the dialog box.
