To Upload a CAD Document to the Workspace and Check In to Server
1. Click File > Manage Session > Server management and register a Windchill server in the Creo application.
2. Select a workspace and click Workspace > Activate > Workspace in the Server Management dialog box to activate the workspace.
3. In the Creo browser, select Edit Preferences from the Workspace actions menu. The Edit Workspace Options for workspace <workspace_name> page opens with the General tab selected by default.
4. On the Edit Workspace Options for workspace <workspace_name> page, click Browse next to the CAD Document Target Folder, and select a folder in the Set Location window for the new parts. The default value is the root folder of the context that is associated with the workspace.
5. Click OK on the Edit Workspace Options for workspace <workspace_name> page.
6. Open a Creo model and click File > New CAD Document. The New CAD Document dialog box opens.
Context displays the context of the active workspace.
Creo is the Authoring Application.
CAD Part is the Category and CAD Document is set as Type.
7. In the Attributes section,
Specify a name for the new CAD Document in Name.
Accept the default values in File Name and New Revision.
Specify a description for the CAD Document in Description.
Location displays by default the folder set as the CAD Document Target Folder of the current workspace.
Retain the default selection of Open in Authoring Application or click the Create and Associate Part check box.
Click OK in the New CAD Document dialog box

8. Click File > Save > Save and Upload to upload the newly created CAD Document to the Workspace.
9. Click File > Check In > Custom Check In to check in the CAD Document to the Windchill server. The Custom Check In dialog box opens.
10. Accept Object Types as Models set as the default or select Viewables or Models and Viewables as the object type.
11. In the Creo browser, on the Check In page, click Edit and select Set Location or click the Location icon to verify the context and the storage location of the new CAD Document.
 
* If you had set a folder as the CAD Document Target Folder as a Workspace preference, the Set Location window displays this folder that is set as the CAD Document Target Folder. If you had set the Object Initialization Rule (OIR) for the CAD document and had set the Context OIR folder, the Set Location window displays the Context OIR folder by default.
12. Click OK in the Set Location window.
13. Click Finish on the Check In page to check in the CAD Document to the Windchill server.
