To Change the Active Workspace
Each Windchill server requires an active workspace specified. The active workspace is the target for the PDM operations that you initiate. You can use the Workspace tab to change the active workspace in a session of the Creo application.

1. Click File > Manage Session > Server management. The Server Management dialog box opens.
2. To activate a different workspace, do one of the following:
On the primary or secondary server—In the Server tab, click Edit. The Server Property dialog box opens. Select a different workspace from the list of available workspaces under Workspace.
On the primary server—Select a different workspace from the list of workspaces and click Workspace > Activate > Workspace.
To switch to a workspace from the Model Tree on the same server:
1. On the Model Tree, double-click on the primary server . The Windchill cabinet opens.
2. Open the Workspace folder.
3. Right-click an inactive workspace and select Activate on the shortcut menu.
4. Confirm the change of workspace in the Change Workspace dialog box.
To switch to a workspace from the Model Tree on a different registered server:
1. On the Model Tree, select a workspace on another registered server.
2. Right-click the selected workspace and select Set As Primary on the shortcut menu. A warning dialog box prompts you to erase objects in session.
3. Click one of the following options on the Warning dialog box:
Yes—Deletes all objects in session and activates the selected workspace.

Rules for Changing a Workspace
If you activate a different workspace on the same server, the Creo application erases objects in session before connecting to the new workspace.
If you activate a different workspace on a different server, the Creo application does not automatically erase objects in session. You can save in-session objects to the new workspace.
