Conflicts and Possible Actions
While modifying an object, the system may prompt you with the Conflicts dialog box. The following table contains each conflict type, the reason for the conflict, and possible actions that you can take.

Retrieval Conflict
The retrieved object is currently being checked in or acted upon in the background by the Windchill PDM system and, when opened, the Creo application automatically modified the object.

The retrieved object is not checked out in the active workspace and, when opened, the Creo application automatically modified the object.
Actions you can take:
Check out the object
Continue
Check out the entire family table if object is a generic (recommended if you plan a change that affects the entire family table).
Modification Conflict
The object that you want to modify is being checked in or acted upon in the background by the Windchill PDM system.
Actions you can take:
Always ignore this message
Ignore this message
The object that you want to modify has a checked-in status.
Actions you can take:
Check out the object
Continue
Check out entire family table if object is a generic (recommended if you plane a change that affects the entire family table).
Regeneration Conflicts
If the configuration option regenerate_read_only_objects is set to yes, then checked-in objects are modified in a Creo session. After regeneration, the Creo application lists all modified objects.
Actions you can take:
Upon save the system will prompt you to check out these objects.
If the configuration option regenerate_read_only_objects is set to no, then objects are not regenerated in the Creo application.

If you want to update these objects, you must manually check out each item.
Save Conflicts
The object you want to save is currently being checked in or acted upon in the background by the Windchill PDM system.
Actions you can take:
Skip this object
The object you want to save has a status of checked-in.
Actions you can take:
Check out the object
Continue
Check out the entire family table if object is a generic (recommended if you plan a change that affects the entire family table).
The family table instance that you want to save has not been regenerated or verified.

The object that you want to save is an a new unverified instance that has not been regenerated.
