To Transfer a Component into a Configurable Module
1. In an open configurable product, select a component not in a configurable module in the Model Tree.
2. Click Transfer into Module or right-click and choose Transfer into Module. The Transfer Components into Module dialog box opens.
3. Select the components to transfer.
4. Use one of the following options to transfer the component to a module:
To transfer the components to a module in the configurable product, in the Model Tree select a target configurable module for the transferred component.
To transfer the components to a new module , click . The New dialog box opens. Accept the default file name or type a new one and click OK. A new configurable module is created in the configurable product.
To transfer the components to a configurable module not in the configurable product, click . The Open dialog box opens. Select the configurable module from the list and click Open.
5. To prevent automatic tagging, clear the Perform autotagging for placement references of design solutions check box. By default, tags are created automatically for placement references for the selected components in the context of the configurable module.
6. To move the component without opening the Reference Pairing Table dialog box, clear the Open the module and review/edit its tags after transfer check box.
7. Click OK. When the automatic tagging is not sufficient to place the configurable module, it opens in a separate window and the Reference Pairing Table dialog box opens.
8. Create reference tags and click OK.
