When you edit the placement definition of a subassembly that includes components in a simplified representation, references to components excluded from the simplified representation may be required. The missing components can be called into the assembly during the edit definition operation with the Retrieve Refs command. The missing components appear in the graphics window for reference purposes. When editing is complete, the excluded components disappear from the graphics window.
