About Updating Layout and Data Sharing Features
When you create a layout feature or a data sharing feature, you can set it to update when the referenced layout or geometry changes. Update of the original layout or referenced geometry can be changed at any time when you edit the definition of the feature. When the layout or referenced geometry is in session you can:
Be notified of a change to the referenced geometry.
Review the differences between the referenced geometry and the layout or data sharing feature.
Choose to update the layout or data sharing feature or not.
Enter Design Exploration to see the implications of a change before you commit to it.
You can create a layout feature with one of the following update options:
Fully dependent with automatic update—Updates the layout feature when the original layout is updated and in session.
Dependent with manual update—Allows manual update of the layout feature when the original layout is updated and in session.
No dependency—Does not update the layout feature.
