To Create Bulk Items in an Assembly
1. In an open assembly, click
Create. The
Create Component dialog box opens.
2. Click Bulk Item.
3. Type a file name for the bulk model or use the default file name and click OK. The Creation Options dialog box opens.
4. Choose one of the following options:
◦ Copy from existing—Copy parameters from an existing bulk item template. Click Browse and select an existing bulk part or bulk item template to copy.
◦ Empty—Create an empty bulk model.
5. To edit bulk item parameters make sure the Edit parameters and relations check box is selected.
6. Click OK. The Relations dialog box opens. The Local Parameters display.
The BOM_REPORT_QUANTITY parameter is created by default as the first parameter. This is the quantity of the bulk item in the assembly.
7. Click the Family Table button to define family table instances for the bulk item.
8. Click Properties to edit properties for the selected parameter.
9. Add or modify bulk item parameters and relations.
10. Click File > Save.
11. Click OK.
