Example: Assembling a Component to a Pattern
In the figure below, a hole is created in a part and patterned to create 4 holes.
In the figure below, a bolt is assembled to the pattern leader and is automatically patterned to the remaining holes.
The number of instances (holes) of the pattern determines the number of components (bolts) to be assembled. Therefore, if you modify the number of instances (holes) in the pattern, the number of required components (bolts) is updated.
The figure below shows how the number of assembled components automatically updates when a pattern is modified. The number of instances has been changed to 5. After regeneration, the number of bolts automatically updates to the number of holes.
