About Resolving Assembly Retrieval Failures
Use the regen_failure_handling configuration option to set regeneration failure preferences.
When you set the option to resolve_mode, regeneration stops until you resolve the failed component or feature.
When you set the option to no_resolve_mode, (the default) regeneration continues and failed components and features appear red and bold in the Model Tree. Children of failed components and features appear in red in the Model Tree. You can select a failed item in the Model Tree to resolve the failure.
There are several reasons a component may fail regeneration or retrieval:
It was misplaced in the directory tree.
It was renamed.
It was deleted from the disk.
It is missing a referenced feature
It has a violated placement constraint
It has a parent component or referenced feature that is failed
When you set the regen_faiure_handling configuration option to resolve_mode, regeneration is temporarily suspended. A Failure Diagnostics window displays the component identification number as well as the model name and the RESOLVE FEAT menu appears. You must resolve the failure or suppress the missing component for regeneration to continue.
