To Modify a Connector or Equipment Element
You can modify a connector or equipment element that is part of an assembly.
1. Select the connector or the equipment element following either of the methods listed below:
Click Framework > Modify and then select the connector or equipment element to modify.
Select the connector or equipment element to modify, and click Framework > Modify or right-click and select Framework > Modify.
If the selected connector element is assembled multiple times, the Modify Options dialog box opens. Go to step 2.
If there is only one instance of the selected connector element, the Element Definition dialog box opens. Go to step 4.
2. You can perform the following actions in the Modify Options dialog box:
Select the Modify all elements check box to modify all instances of the element and click OK. The Element Definition dialog box opens. Go to step 4.
Select the Modify selected element only check box to modify the selected instance only and click OK. The Element Definition dialog box opens. Go to step 4.
Select the Modify selected element only and the Copy element before changing it check boxes to copy the element before modifying it, and click OK. The Copy Component Definition dialog box opens. Go to step 3.
3. Define new names for the copied subcomponents of the connector and click OK. The Element Definition dialog box opens.
4. Change the definition. You cannot change references.
5. Perform one or more of the actions listed below:
Click Preview to see a preview of the Creo Parametric model with the element that you created or modified. The Element Definition box remains open so that you can make additional changes if required.
Click OK to permanently create or modify the element in the Creo Parametric model. The Element Definition dialog box closes.
Click Cancel to stop the operation. If the element is created as a preview, the preview disappears. No changes are made to the model and the Element Definition dialog box closes.
