To Copy a Point Pattern from One Profile End to Another
1. Click Framework > Point Pattern. The Point Pattern dialog box opens.
2. Click . The first box is activated and the label Pattern to Copy appears.
3. In the model, select the point pattern to copy.
4. Click the Placement plane reference collector and in the model, select a placement plane for the point pattern near the profile end. A preview of the point pattern is displayed.
5. Make changes as required by taking the actions listed below:
Click the X direction reference collector and then select a reference plane for the X direction that is perpendicular to the desired X direction of the pattern.
Click the Y direction reference collector and the se elect a reference plane for the Y direction that is perpendicular to the desired Y direction
Change dimension values for X0, X1, N_X, Y0, Y1, and N_Y
Select or clear the X direction symmetric or the Y direction symmetric check boxes.
Select or clear the With holes check box and make changes to the value for hole diameter in the DM box. Click the Hole End Surface box and select a plane in the model, to change the default hole end surface.
Select or clear the With automatic UDF attachment hole check box and make changes to the value for the attach hole depth in the T box.
6. Click one of the options listed below to continue:
OK to complete point pattern creation and close the dialog box.
Repeat to complete point pattern creation without the closing dialog box and continue with creating another point pattern.
Cancel to cancel point pattern creation and close the dialog box.
