Unfold Parts in View

Overview

This tool allows you to unfold Sheet Metal parts in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation Views.

Activation

Enter into command line

   (load "am_view_unfold") 

Or add this line to your customization file.

Loading this file will create a button in the toolbox.

Description

Using the goody makes it possible to unfold sheet metal parts in different kind of views. The unfold functionality of sheet metal module is used to adjust the form of the part before the view calculation is started. It is possible to select one face per part. You can select several sheet metal parts (belonging to the view) to be unfolded on view update.

Select one view and specify the base face for one or more sheet metal parts. Pressing preview shows the unfolded parts in Creo Elements/Direct Annotation 3D view port.

Update the view after wards as usual. You can also create section views or other type of views containing unfolded sheet metal parts.

Notes

• The unfold state is stored at the view.
• The 3D part is not touched.
• The unfold state is not inherited from parent views when creating e.g. section views. But the 'Grab' button will help.

Restrictions

Not every sheet metal feature can be unfolded.
