Introduction

OneSpace Designer is a versatile and highly interactive 3D design modeling system for accelerating the geometric design process, and reducing overall product development time. OneSpace Designer provides fast and accurate methods to design real-world parts and assemblies from inception through to detailed design.

Use this Manual in conjunction with the OneSpace Designer User's Task Guide, OneSpace Designer Concepts Guide, Sheet Metal Concepts and User's Guide and the OneSpace Designer MentorGraphics PCB I/F System and User's Manual to produce efficient programs.

About this manual

The purpose of this manual is to provide the programmer with detailed information about the commands and functions of OneSpace Designer.

The OneSpace Designer Commands Reference Manual contains an introductory section, and for each action a single document. These huge amount of documents comprises all actions used to execute the operations of OneSpace Designer and its modules by way of the command line. The following sections are covered within the Command Reference Manual:

The sections are titled:

  1. Introduction to Using Command Syntax,
  2. OneSpace Designer Interrupt and Terminate Actions,
  3. OneSpace Designer "SET_" Actions,
  4. OneSpace Designer Subactions,
  5. IDF Data Adapter (PCB I/F) Actions,
  6. Sheet Metal Actions,
  7. Machining Actions,
  8. Annotation Actions, and
  9. Design Integrity Actions.
These sections are accessible either through the Table of Contents or through the Index of the Command Reference Manual.

These sections describe how to use the OneSpace Designer action commands to develop a complete geometric model, including design information. A syntax diagram accompanies each action description, and where appropriate, a short example is provided.
