Deploying a Watermark
Watermarks can be deployed in two ways:
• Server Side, with PDMLink Administration Control
• Client Side, which can be administered by PDMLink Administration, but overridden by users.
Deploying Server-Side Watermarks
Server controlled configuration of Creo View allows you to create WVS Configuration Template objects in the context in which the client was launched.
To enable server-side watermarks on a Windchill or PDMLink server, follow the steps below:
1. Set the properties
a. Log in as an administrator
b. In the wvs.properties.xconf file, set the following value: productview.configfromserver=true
c. Propagate the changes using the xconf manager
2. Client Cleanup
a. Delete all watermark mapping, property names and watermarks from Creo View
3. Server Upload
a. Log into Windchill as Administrator
b. Click Server Controlled Configuration of Product View
c. In Windchill PDMLink or ProjectLink, click Configuration. All Creo View configurations are listed on the Creo View Configurations table.
