To Turn Off or Disable Protected Mode at Start Up
Adobe Acrobat Reader classic and continuous track work with the default Adobe out-of-the-box settings.
For Adobe Acrobat Pro classic and continuous track, in addition to turning off the protected view, you need to update the setting to turn off the protected mode at start up.
To turn off protected view, follow the steps in the topic To Turn Off or Disable Adobe Protected View.
Complete the following steps to turn off or disable protected mode at start up:
1. Open Adobe Acrobat Pro and click Edit > Preferences. The Preferences dialog box opens.
2. Under Categories, select Security (Enhanced).
3. Under Sandbox Protections, clear the Enable Protected Mode at Startup (Preview) check box.
4. A dialog box opens. Click Yes to continue, and then click OK.
5. Restart Adobe Acrobat Pro and verify that the setting, protected mode, is disabled.
