Adding Publishing to Mentor Graphics PADS and Mentor Graphics xDX Designer/Xpedition
To add the Creo View menu options to Mentor Graphics PADS Layout, you must set options in the Basic Scripts dialog box. Follow the procedure below to do this.
1. Start the authoring application, and then open a design.
2. Click > > . The Basic Scripts dialog box opens.
3. Click Load File, and then browse to the <installation_directory>\etc\padstools folder.
4. Select Publish to Creo View.bas and click OK.
5. Select Publish to Creo View from the list, and then select In Menu.
6. Click Close. The Creo View menu options are added.
To add the Creo View menu options to Mentor Graphics PADS Professional Schematic and Layout, and to Mentor Graphics xDX Designer/Xpedition, follow these steps:
1. Configure the adapter installation and create configuration files by following the steps in Configuring the Adapter Installation.
2. Open the folder where you installed the adapter configuration.
3. To add a publishing option, run the batch file <adapter>publish.bat.
4. The ECAD tool opens. Under the Creo View menu option, the Publish option appears.

Each authoring application has its own location, for instance, C:\mentorgraphics\EEVX.2.3\SDD_HOME\common\win64\bin.

You can now publish designs to Creo View. You can add publishing to another adapter, or continue to the next chapter, Validating the Configuration, to verify that your setup works.
