Publishing Simplified Reps from Creo Parametric
To overcome the problem of not being able to publish large assemblies, you can publish a set of simplified representations that together make up the entire assembly. Each of the views shows a particular portion of the complete assembly. To publish simplified representations of a
Creo View assembly, first publish the individual simplified representations using proepublish or proebatch, and then map their names to the appropriate assembly to bind them together. For more information see
Converting Instances of Simplified Representations from Creo
Parametric.
For information about how files are loaded in
Creo View, see “To Set Load Options” in the
Creo View Help Center.
The conversion of a simplified rep only supported if it meets the following criteria:
• On the Basic tab of the Recipe Editor, Output Author States is selected.
• On the > tab of the Recipe Editor, Simplified Reps is selected.
To publish a Creo assembly in this way:
2. Publish the appropriate Creo assemblies using either the Visualization server, proepublish, or proebatch.
You can also publish the assembly master representation and all of the simplified representations associated with the assembly. The adapter creates PVA files as well as the standard OL and PVS files; the PVA file is an XML-based file that contains the simplified rep information.
Simplified Representations are accessed from the Viewables tab of primary panel in the Creo View client.
