Overview of AEM Installation
AEM is a server-based application that publishes Microsoft Office documents and other documents to PDF. With AEM, you can create PDF representations of design iterations to view them and to mark them up in Creo View.
You must install AEM on a server separate from Windchill and from the Creo View Adapter for PDF.
To use the Creo View Adapter for PDF, you must first install and configure all the necessary software on separate servers:
• AEM server including Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office
• Creo View Adapter for PDF
• Windchill
• Microsoft Office
For information on how to configure and use the
Creo View Adapter for PDF, refer to
the chapter Configuring the Creo View Adapter for PDF in the Creo View MCAD Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide.
For further information on WVS configuration settings to support the
AEM, refer to the chapter
WVS Adobe Experience Manager Server Integration in the Windchill Help Center.
