To Unlink or Delete Linked Content
In Creo View, you can remove linked data by unlinking or deleting the file. When you unlink a file, the data becomes embedded. Embedded data is not updated when the when the source content changes.
When you delete a file, the file is removed, but you can choose to either retain the data in the sBOM and illustration, or remove it.
To Unlink a File
1. Click Tools > Edit Structure. Structure editing mode opens, and the Content pane appears in the lower data panel.
2. In the Content pane, select a file and then right-click and select Unlink.

Alternatively, you can click Content > Unlink.
The file is unlinked.
3. Confirm that the value in the Update policy column of the Content pane is Embedded.
To Delete a File
1. Click Tools > Edit Structure. Structure editing mode opens, and the Content pane appears in the lower data panel.
2. In the Content pane, select the file to delete and then right-click and select Delete. The file is selected.

Alternatively, you can click Content > Delete.
3. Select one of the following options:
Delete source data and clean up sBOM—To remove the CAD data from the illustration.
Delete source data and retain unused 3D sBOM items—To save the CAD data in the illustration.
4. Click OK. The file is deleted.
