Installing the Creo View MCAD Adapters on Windows
Install the adapters from the Creo View Adapters media.
1. Extract the download archive to an empty directory and run Setup.exe. The Setup Wizard opens.
2. Click Next. The End–User License Agreement page opens.
3. Read the agreement and select the I accept the terms in the License Agreement check box.
4. Click Next. The Custom Setup page opens.
5. Select the adapters to install.
Select the Worker Daemon Service if you are configuring the adapters for server-controlled publishing, and you are installing the adapter on a machine other than the Windchill server.
The adapters listed under Batch Import Adapters, are generic data exchange formats that can be converted on any machine. You do not need a CAD tool installed or licensed.
The Adapters for specific CAD tools require the CAD software to be installed and licensed on the machine that will be used for publishing.
6. You can change the installation directory by clicking Browse.
7. To review the disk availability, click Disk Usage.
8. Click Next. The Worker Daemon Configuration page opens. If you did not select the Worker Daemon Service feature in step 5, skip to step 11.
9. Accept the default port of 601 or type your Port Number in the box. The port number should be a valid integer and less than 65535.
10. Click Next.
11. Click Install. The adapters are installed.
12. Click Finish to exit the installer.
