Setting Security Preferences for Adobe Protected View

Always practice extreme caution when making modifications in the registry.
It is recommended to make a copy of the registry key so the original settings can be restored if needed.
The registry should only be edited by a qualified system administrator.

To support batch printing of PDF viewables using a Print Worker, you must make the following changes on the relevant Windows machine in the Registry Editor:
Disable Adobe Reader Protected Mode.
Disable Adobe Reader DC Protected View.
Accept the Adobe License Terms (EULA) to disable the EULA prompt.
Follow the steps below to make these changes:
1. In the Start > Run box, type Regedit.exe. The Registry Editor page opens.
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Policies > Adobe > Adobe Reader > <version> > FeatureLockDown.
3. To disable Adobe DC Protected View do the following:
a. Right-click and choose New > DWORD Value.
b. Name the new key iProtectedView.
c. Right-click iProtectedView and select Modify. The Edit DWORD dialog box opens.
d. Under Value data type 0, and then click OK.
4. To accept the Adobe License Terms (EULA) and to disable its prompt:
a. Navigate to the relevant sub-key:
For Windows 32-bit (x86), go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Adobe > Adobe Reader > <version> > AdobeViewer.
For Windows 64-bit (x64), go to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Wow6432Node > Adobe > Acrobat Reader > <version> > AdobeViewer.
b. Right-click and choose New > DWORD Value.
c. Name the new key EULA.
d. Right-click EULA, and select Modify. The Edit DWORD dialog box opens.
e. Under Value data type 1, and then click OK.
f. Right-click and choose New > DWORD Value.
g. Name the new key EULAAcceptedForBrowser.
h. Right-click EULAAcceptedForBrowser, and select Modify. The Edit DWORD dialog box opens.
i. Under Value data type 1, and then click OK. The EULA prompt is disabled.
