Controlling the Conversion of Screen-Space Model and Planar Notes
In Creo View 5.0 and later, Creo View can display Creo Parametric Screen-space and Planar Notes (model annotations) converted as text (TTF). This results in a more accurate and readable display than provided by the Creo View Adapters and Creo Parametric tessellators. It also reduces the output OL file size.
By default, the Adapter for Creo Parametric now creates text for screen-space and planar notes. To revert to using the Creo View Adapters tessellator, check the Output Text As Lines option on the Basic tab of the Recipe Editor.
The Creo Parametric tessellator can also be used by checking Screen Annotations and Planar Annotations for the Use Creo Parametric Tessellator option on the Advanced > Miscellaneous tab.
The following display options are not supported:
Context
Option
Inside a note
Changing font size, italic
When double-clicking annotations
Underline, superscript, subscript, justification, rotated text
Text with slant angle
Text with mirror
*
For fonts such as Blueprint MT and Neographic MT that do not have explicit italic version fonts available in Creo Parametric, Creo Parametric renders italic text using the slant angle option. In Creo View these fonts are not rendered italic.
