To Create a Dynamic Group

Working with Groups > Creating MCAD Groups > To Create a Dynamic Group

1. Select a group in the

Groups pane, and then click Create Group. The Create Group dialog box opens.

2. Type a name for the group and click OK. The

Dynamic group is created and the Properties dialog box opens.

3. Under Source, select a Group from the list.

4. Under Grouping Criteria, select By attribute or By hierarchy, and then select an option from the list.

5. Set the Group naming criteria.

6. Select Shared to apply the group to other representations.

7. Click Close. The

Subgroups update. Select a

Subgroup to view its members in the Part Name partition.
