Completing the AEM Installation

Completing the AEM Installation
By this point, you have selected modules and tasks for the AEM configuration, configured the turnkey JBoss SSL, and deployed the settings. Follow the steps below to complete the configuration process.
*
The Creo View Adapter for PDF reseller agreement with Adobe only permits configuration of single-threaded PDF generation (one Windows user account).
As a result, we can only allow our users to use Single-Threaded conversions and this is reflected throughout this document.
1. On the Express Mode page, click Next. The Admin user credentials for native PDF conversions page opens.
2. To configure single-threaded PDF conversions, select Single-threaded native PDF conversions and then under User Accounts, type your user name and password in keeping to the following conditions:
If you were prompted to enter your user name and password during the AEM installation, use the same credentials as used during the installation.
Every user whose credentials are to be registered must complete the Microsoft Software Activation process for the installed Microsoft Word application.
If neither of the previous conditions is true, use the credentials of a local user with administrative privileges.
Go to Server Manager > Local Users and Groups > Users > Administrator Properties > General, and ensure that the password used for the administrator is set to Password never expires.
3. Click Add User. Your user details are added to the User Name, and the comment User successfully added appears in the Status list.
*
If you receive an error message while adding a user, refer to “Preconfigurations for the PDF Generator” in the Adobe support documentation.
4. Click Next. The PDF Generator System Readiness Test page opens.
5. Click Start. The test is performed and the System Readiness Tool Report opens on the test page.
6. Examine the report for successful configuration of the path variables for the applications.
*
The test examines all combinations of applications for AEM. If you do not configure one or more path variables for each application, a warning message may appear.
It is safe to ignore warnings for applications that you have not installed on the machine, but you must consider warnings for applications you intend to use with AEM.
If a message, "Could not locate the output SRT report", appears on the test page, ignore it and proceed.
7. Click Next. The Reader Extensions Credential Configuration page opens. If you have purchased the Creo View PDF Review option, perform steps 8 through 11, otherwise continue from step 12.
8. Under Credential file, click Browse to find to the PFX file. It is in this directory on the media: \AEM_Server_install.
9. In the Credential Password box, type the password that appears in the AEM65-ReaderExtensions-license.pdf file.
10. Under User defined name for this credential, type a name.
*
Keep this name in a safe place for use as the credential alias in the procedures in the Creo View MCAD Adapters Installation and Configuration Guide and the Windchill Installation and Configuration Guide.
11. Leave Configure later using Experience Manager forms Administration Console unchecked, and click Configure. The credentials are configured.
12. Click Next. The Summary page opens.
13. Review the list of completed tasks, select the Launch Next Steps check box, and then click Finish. The Next Steps window opens.
14. Bookmark the Next Steps page for later review. It contains important links your administration of AEM.
You have now completed the installation and configuration of AEM. Continue to the next topic to adjust your firewall settings.
