While the primary function of an ECAD comparison is to compare two revisions of the same design, you can use it to analyze a design that has been migrated from one ECAD tool to another. Different ECAD tools use different names for the same attributes. As a result, some attribute names can change, even though the objects in the design do not change. You can use an advanced filter to automatically hide these false transactions.
