To Set the Link Update Policy on Import

Importing and Exporting Files > Importing Files > To Set the Link Update Policy on Import

Follow the instructions below to set the update policy for linked content on import. The update policy you set is also applied to any branch links in the imported content.

1. Click File > Import > Link.

2. In the Import File dialog box, select a file to import and then click Open.

3. In the Manage Link dialog box, under Settings, select an update policy:

◦ Always update - no confirmation

◦ Update after confirmation only

4. Select Set as Default if you want the selected update policy to be the default.

5. Click OK. The CAD file content is copied into the illustration, linked to the source content in the CAD file, and the selected update policy is applied.
