To Configure Alternate Part Names or User Defined Attribute Paths
1. Open the Creo View Options dialog box in one of the following ways:
Click File > Options.
On the Structure tab or the Home tab, in the Structure Tree group, click the arrow.
2. Next to Showing, select Global.
3. Under General, select Navigation. The General-Navigation options open.
4. To configure alternate part names, select Use alternate part names, and then click Configure. The Configure Alternate Part Names dialog box opens.
5. To configure user defined attribute paths, select User Defined Attribute Paths. The Configure User Defined Attribute Path dialog box opens.
6. Type the new text for the part name. To include attribute names and values in the new name, see To Insert an Attribute Name, Value, or Both.
7. Click OK to close the dialog box.
8. Click Apply, to apply the changes and keep the dialog box open.
9. Click OK. The Creo View Options dialog boxes closes.
10. To revert to the original part names, clear the Use alternate part names check box, and then click OK.
