Placing Annotations
Different annotation types use different placement methods, as follows:
Type
Placement in the Graphics Area
Note
Select a placement point.
Note with Leader
Select the position of the head of the leader, and then drag to the point where you want to place the note.
Click once to set the position of the start of the leader, and then a second time to set the position of the note.
Leader Line
Select the position of the head of the leader, and then drag to the point where you want to place the tail.
Click once to set the position of the head of the leader, and then a second time to set the position of the tail.
When you create a leader line with jogs, click once to place each jog and double-click to finish creating the line.

For leader lines created with arrowheads, the arrow is placed at the line's head.
Shape
Rectangles and ellipses—Click and drag the shape to the desired size.
Freehand polygons—Click once to create each corner of the polygon and double-click to finish creating it.
Surface polygons—See To Create a Surface Polygon
Freehand
Click and drag to draw the shape.
Gtol
Select a placement point and then define the text and formatting in the Gtol dialog box.
