Installing the Creo View MCAD Adapters on UNIX
Not all of the adapters are supported on UNIX. The supported adapters are not supported on all UNIX platforms. Check the Creo View Future Platform Support Summary to verify support before you begin.
Install the adapters from the Creo View Adapters media.
1. Load the installation media. The InstallAnywhere dialog box opens. If it does not start automatically, then run the file setup from the installation media.
2. Select a language and click OK. The Creo View — Adapters installer dialog box opens to the Before You Begin page.
3. Read the information, and then click Next. The PTC Customer Agreement page opens.
4. Read the Terms and Conditions and select I accept.
5. Click Next. The Select Product Options page opens.
6. Select the adapters to install.
The adapters listed under Install Batch Import Adapters are generic data exchange formats that can be converted on any machine without being licensed or installed on the machine.
The Adapters for specific CAD tools requires the CAD software to be installed and licensed on the machine that will be used for publishing.
Select Thumbnail Generator to create remote thumbnails.

PTC recommends using the Windows operating system for the thumbnail generator.
7. Click Next. The Select Platforms to Install page opens.
8. Select one or more platforms on which to install the Creo View Adapters.

Ensure that the software is supported by the platform you want to install on.
9. Click Next. The Select Directory page opens.
10. Under Installation Directory, accept the default directory or browse to a new path, and then click Select.
11. Review the settings and the disk availability, and then click Install. The adapters are installed.
12. Click Done to exit the installer.
