Adapter Prerequisites for NX
Check the following items to ensure that your system is able to run the Creo View Adapter for NX:
The Creo View Adapter for NX must be supported on the operating system, NX version, and meet the minimum requirements as shown in the software matrices at http://www.ptc.com/appserver/cs/doc/refdoc.jsp.
You must have NX correctly configured and licensed before you configure the Creo View Adapter for NX. Any license required to create the data set is also required to publish it. The typical license requirements for NX follow:
(gateway)
(assemblies)
(drafting)
(geometric_tol)
(solid_modeling)
Ensure that your operating system has adequate CPU and storage systems.
Confirm and note the command line used to run NX.
*
On Windows, you can confirm the path and command used to run NX by right-clicking the NX icon and selecting Properties. The path and command to run NX appear in the Target text box.
*
The adapter operates under a user account that must be configured to run NX.
On Windows, do not use network drives for workers. For example, do not install the Creo View adapters onto a network drive, or rely on any other installation or data that resides on a network drive.
When configured as a service using the Worker Daemon, the service’s Log On As account must also be configured to run NX.
If you attempt to load CAD data into NX and have problems, those same problems will prevent the adapter from converting this data to the Creo View format.
