Supported ECAD File Formats
You can view the native file formats of ECAD tools in Creo View. You can also view neutral formats with standard and nonstandard extensions. See the second table for more information on the neutral file formats. ODB++ Solutions Alliance supported PTC in the creation of the ODB++ adapter.

No
Gerber
ODB++
DSN
IDF
IPC-2581
Note that Layer side is incorrect for some layers in the *.cvg file.
Either export designs as a DSN or create a TGZ file in order to read into Creo View.
Altium Designer Schematic
*.dsnwrk
*.prjpcb
*.schdoc (ASCII file input)
No
Save each schematic sheet as an ASCII file.
Cadence Allegro Package Designer (APD)
*.mcm
*.sip
When using APD, for the correct Allegro fonts to be displayed in Creo View viewables, you must have version 16.6 or later installed and licensed.
If you do not have the tool installed, an approximate font is substituted, and it may appear different from the original in these ways:
Font size
Text position
To view some pad shapes introduced in Cadence 17, you must have Hotfix_SPB17.00.002 installed.
For all other cases, the tool is not required.

Cadence Allegro DE-HDL/OrCAD CIS/PCB Designer
*.cpm
*.dsn
*.dra
*.mdd
*.bri
*.brd
When using Allegro PCB Designer, for the correct Allegro fonts to be displayed in Creo View viewables, you must have version 16.6 or later installed and licensed.

To open IDF files from Board Designer in Creo View, you must change the file extension from *.brd to *.bdf.
From Creo View 4.0, when synchronizing with a schematic design, the pin name is used. Previously the pin number was used, which is an internally generated number.

Fonts—Monospace fonts
Font styles—Underline, strikethrough, overline, transparency
Font parameters—Color
Fonts that are not available on the system but are part of the native tool will be displayed in Creo View using default font. See About Setting Text Data Options for ECAD Views in the Creo View Online Help to set default fonts.
